What’s the material of Cold shrink tubes?

There are mainly two kinds of common cold shrinkable tubes, one is silicon rubber cold shrinkable tube, the other is EPDM cold shrink tube. According to the application scenario, different materials can be selected for cold shrinkable tubes.

 

How to install cold shrink tubing?

Cold shrink tubing generally refers to the cold shrink cable accessories, commonly used silicone rubber material and EPDM material, mainly used for protecting cable ends and joints, the installation steps of cold shrink tube to communication base station.

 

Step 1: put all the cold shrink tubes on the jumper

Step 2: tighten all joints

Step 3: twist the thread of all RRU connections with waterproof tape

Step 4: wrap around the heat shrinkable tube area in the jumper with a waterproof tape

Step 5: install the cold shrink tube


1. push the cold shrink tube to the bottom of RRU and pull the support bar along the arrow direction

2. when the tip of the cold shrink tube is contracted to the root of the RRU connection, then pull out the support strips continually.

3. when the cold shrink tube is tightened on the jumper line, pull all the support strips out.
