Why the end cap can shrink? What makes cable housing ends shrink back?

Adding insulating materials into heat shrinkable materials, also known as polymer shape memory materials are an intelligent material, which is a combination of polymer materials and radiation processing technology. Ordinary polymer materials such as polyethylene, PVC is usually linear structure, after radiation electron accelerator radiation source into a mesh structure, these materials will have a unique "memory effect", the expansion and cooling of the material to shrink back to its original shape after being heated.
